Championing a new era of infection diagnosis.

Championing a new era of infection diagnosis.

Starting with women’s health, we’re redefining the 85-year old specimen collection process–leading to better accuracy, faster diagnoses, and a more efficient, streamlined process for modern labs.

Our true north.

Why do we put up with systems and processes that don’t work?

In 1934, Rebecca Lancefield discovered Group B Strep (GBS) in humans. In 1985, the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was invented to replicate DNA because samples were hard to detect or dying before they got to the lab.

While the tests have gotten better, the specimen collection and handoff process has changed little since – for 40 years Dr. Weisman watched babies suffer and die due to misdiagnosis, and witnessed widespread overuse of antibiotics on pregnant women and newborns who did not need them.

That’s why we invented LabReady and why we’re putting a century of poor performing specimen collection and transport methods to rest.

Designed by researchers. Backed by physicians.

Founded by a newborn intensive care physician and researcher Leonard (Lenny) E. Weisman, M.D., LabReady believes that the medical community deserves a new standard of specimen transport.
